Odara is a free, local-first ETL/ELT tool. Sketch pipelines visually, or just describe the goal in plain English and a built-in AI assistant drafts the nodes for you. Drop into SQL (DataFusion) or Python anytime. 20+ connectors. Rust engine — no JVM. Windows & Linux.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Samuel, the maker of Odara.
Every ETL tool I've used made me choose: the visual ones (Talend, Informatica,
NiFi) are approachable but heavy — a JVM, a licensing conversation, and a wall
the moment you need logic the UI didn't anticipate. The code-first ones are the
opposite: total control, but you're wiring boilerplate before you've moved a
single row.
Odara is my attempt at the middle:
• Describe a pipeline in plain English and a built-in AI assistant drafts the
actual nodes — you review and edit them, it's not a black box.
• Refine it visually on a canvas, or drop into SQL (running on Apache DataFusion)
or Python whenever you need real logic — in the same pipeline.
• 20+ sources & targets: Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake,
DB2, ODBC, CSV/Excel/XML, S3, Google Drive, Azure Blob, FTP/SFTP, REST, plus
Kafka/RabbitMQ/NATS/MQTT streaming.
• Rust engine — no JVM, no GC pauses. It's local-first: your data and pipelines
stay on your machine.
It's free to use (proprietary, not open source — happy to be upfront about that).
It's early — an MVP at v0.x — so I'd genuinely love your feedback, and I'll be
here all day answering questions.
What's the one ETL pain point you'd want a tool like this to kill first?
