@_evless Congratulations on the launch. I just upvoted because the balance forecasting and multi currency workflow solve a problem many people quietly deal with every month. I especially like that on device processing is the default. How are you handling exchange rate updates for historical transactions versus future forecasts?
@spotch_founder Great question, it's two different modes by design.
Historical: every transaction stores only its original amounts, nothing is baked in. Base-currency values are computed at read time from a per-date rate snapshot (ECB data via Frankfurter, EUR-pivot). A date's snapshot is fetched once and then pinned, so historical numbers stay stable between views. Weekend spending converts at Friday's close.
Forecasts: today's rate for all future amounts, no extrapolation. Predicting FX months ahead is a game I'd rather not pretend to play, so the dashed line is transparently naive about it.
One more detail I care about: transfers between your own accounts store what you actually received, not a computed rate — your real money beats the market rate every time.
finally tried an expense tracker that doesn't force everything into one base currency, and the per-trip budgets make splitting work trips from personal way easier than juggling spreadsheets.
@saniye824360 Thank you! The "one base currency" thing was exactly what pushed me to build it: every tracker I tried assumed my money lives in one place. Curious about the work/personal trips split: do you track them for reimbursement, or just to see the real cost of each?
Been waiting for something like this since splitwise got too bloated. Two things I really like already, the on-device OCR and not forcing a base currency. One thing I'd love is a shared trip wallet so my partner and I can track a Bali budget together without each buying premium. Could be as simple as inviting by email with view or edit permissions.
@sevcandokurel Shared trips are not in the app yet, but you just described exactly how I'd want them to work — invite by email, view or edit. Adding it to the roadmap, thank you. Out of curiosity: would view-only cover most of your case (partner sees the budget), or is joint expense entry the real need?
finally something that lets me keep my pesos and baht in their own accounts without weird forced conversions. the per trip budget setup was a nice touch, makes planning for my next month in lisbon way less of a headache.

the real rate transfers between currencies are honestly a breath of fresh air, so many trackers just shove everything through one conversion and you lose track of what you actually spent. nice execution on that.
