Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built NutriSnap because I kept running into the same frustration most nutrition apps just don't understand Indian food. You'd snap a photo of dal, roti, or a thali, and the app would either fail to recognize it or give you wildly inaccurate numbers, because it was trained mostly on Western dishes.
So I built an AI model specifically trained to recognize and break down the nutritional values of Indian cuisine snap a photo of your meal, and get instant, accurate calorie and macro info, even for regional dishes that most apps completely miss.
Would love for you to try it out and tell me what you think, especially if you've struggled with tracking Indian food before. Happy to answer any questions here!

Finally something that actually recognises my thali properly instead of guessing "rice bowl." Macro breakdown felt close to what my dietician gave me last month.

@sadkaynaoloxop Thank you so much! 😊 That really means a lot to hear.
I'm so glad the thali recognition and macro breakdown felt close to what your dietitian recommended. If you have any suggestions or ideas as you keep using NutriSnap AI, I'd love to hear them. Thanks again for your support!

Honestly love the snap-a-meal idea for Indian food since most trackers get it wrong. One thing that would help a lot though is adding portion size estimation with a quick reference like a fist or a plate next to the food, because right now I think the calories might be off depending on how much I actually ate.

@salim772139 Thank you so much! 😊 I'm really glad you liked the idea.
That's an excellent suggestion, and I completely agree. Portion size makes a huge difference in calorie accuracy, especially for Indian meals. I've actually added a portion size adjuster in the latest update, so feel free to give it a try. I'd love to hear your feedback after using it!

honestly this is super useful for indian food specifically, since most trackers mess up on parathas or biryani. one thing i'd love to see is a portion size adjuster, like maybe a slider or quick reference for "roti the size of my palm" so the calorie count feels more accurate. right now i'm guessing on that part.

One thing I'd love to see is the option to save frequent meals as shortcuts so I don't have to snap and wait every time I eat my usual roti and dal. Would make daily tracking way faster.

I really like that idea. Saving frequent meals would make everyday tracking much quicker and more convenient. I've added it to my roadmap, and I'll definitely look into implementing it. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback, it really helps me improve NutriSnap AI!

honestly the Indian food recognition is pretty solid, threw a random thali pic at it and the macros actually made sense. the fat estimate was a touch high on the paneer dish but that is kind of splitting hairs. handy little tool
