Freelancers Union says 71% of freelancers struggle to collect payment, averaging ~$6,000/year lost to it. I looked at the existing tools (InvoiceSherpa, Chaser, Paidnice) and noticed they all require QuickBooks or Xero, which seemed like a real gap for solo freelancers who just invoice through Stripe or a PDF.
So Nudge works the other way: connect a read-only Stripe key (no OAuth dance) or drop in a CSV, and it handles the rest —
- Escalating reminder sequence — friendly nudge before it's due, firmer over time
- Stops instantly the moment an invoice is marked paid — checks live status before every send, never an awkward email after you've already been paid
