Hi, I'm Amir. I made Notchmeter because I kept hitting the Claude Code 5-hour cap without seeing it coming. Small rings beside the MacBook notch, or on any screen edge, for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and GitHub Copilot. Hover and the panel opens: used share per window, a tick where an even burn would be by now, a projection ("Runs out in 2h"), the reset countdown, what your local transcripts would cost at API list prices, and an Advice strip: "Opus weekly is 91%. Sonnet is 34%. Switch models, not tools." Notifications fire at pace crossings, not percentage crossings, because a percentage alert arrives too late to change anything. Optional hooks light a ring when a turn finishes and show a white dot while Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI or Copilot waits for you. Cursor documents no such event, so its ring never guesses. It never signs in, never stores a token, has no telemetry; it reads the logins your tools already keep on the Mac. Free, MIT, macOS 14 or later, signed DMG or Homebrew tap.
