What's great

I use NoPorts to access my Windows PC from my Mac ( my home internet runs on Starlink ) which uses CGNAT, making traditional remote access solutions basically impossible.

I tried Tailscale first, which is a great product, but it introduced too much latency. NoPorts just fixed the latency issue for me.

It genuinely solves a real infrastructure problem that affects anyone on behind a strict CGNAT. For a regular person with no networking background, the fact that it "just connects" despite all these constraints feels like magic.

What needs improvement

The initial setup isn't the most intuitive experience, it took me some trial and error to get everything configured correctly. To be fair, the team has clearly put work into improving this, and it's gotten noticeably better.

vs Alternatives

Tailscale was my main alternative. Unfortunately there was too much latency for RDP usage.

What's great

I really enjoy using NoPorts because it makes remote access feel simple and secure at the same time. Setting it up was straightforward, and once everything was connected, I was able to access my devices from anywhere without worrying about complicated network settings. I like how I don’t have to deal with opening ports or using a traditional VPN, which makes the whole process feel much safer and easier. Overall, it’s been a reliable and convenient tool that I find myself using regularly.

vs Alternatives

I chose NoPorts™ over alternative solutions because it offers a simpler and more secure way to access my devices remotely. Unlike traditional VPNs, I don’t have to open network ports, which makes me feel safer and reduces the risk of security issues.

What's great

Been using NoPorts for a bit now and it just makes things easier. No messing with port forwarding or fighting your router forever, it kind of just works. Setup was way less painful than I expected and I like that it’s actually secure by default instead of something you patch together later. I mostly use it for remote access and it’s been solid even on sketchy connections.
