What's great
I use NoPorts to access my Windows PC from my Mac ( my home internet runs on Starlink ) which uses CGNAT, making traditional remote access solutions basically impossible.
I tried Tailscale first, which is a great product, but it introduced too much latency. NoPorts just fixed the latency issue for me.
It genuinely solves a real infrastructure problem that affects anyone on behind a strict CGNAT. For a regular person with no networking background, the fact that it "just connects" despite all these constraints feels like magic.
What needs improvement
The initial setup isn't the most intuitive experience, it took me some trial and error to get everything configured correctly. To be fair, the team has clearly put work into improving this, and it's gotten noticeably better.
vs Alternatives
Tailscale was my main alternative. Unfortunately there was too much latency for RDP usage.
