nokko is a native Mac app for project management, time tracking and invoices. Every project is one plain Markdown file on your own disk - it works offline, needs no account, and edits touch only the characters you changed, byte for byte. Stop the timer and the hours are already lines in the file; when the month ends, the invoice is drafted from them.
Hi, Laurynas here - one half of a two-person agency in Lithuania.
We built nokko because running our own client work took three subscriptions: ClickUp for projects, Toggl for hours, and another tool for invoices. Every month I'd copy tracked hours into an invoice by hand, line by line. It felt ridiculous, so we built the app we wanted: projects, time and invoices in one place, where the invoice is drafted straight from the hours you tracked.
The part I care most about is under the hood. Every project is a plain Markdown file on your disk. Not "exports to Markdown" - it is the file. nokko only rewrites the characters you actually changed, so your formatting, your notes, even emoji it doesn't recognise survive byte for byte. If you use Obsidian, it's the same Tasks and Dataview format, and everything works offline with no account.
macOS first (Apple silicon), Windows in development. Ask me anything, especially if you're also tired of paying three tools to run one small studio.
Mobile (iOS and Android) is in mind and will be coming as well. This will make more sense to users who will host their projects on GitHub or SFTP.
