Nightly Echoes is a dream journal that helps users build a personal dream dictionary over time. Instead of giving one-off interpretations or fixed symbol meanings, it uses dream entries and user-provided life context to surface recurring symbols, emotions, archetypes, and patterns. Users can write or speak a dream and receive a Jungian-informed reflection shaped by their own experiences, not generic dream lookup.

I built Nightly Echoes because I wanted a better way to understand my own dreams.
Most dream tools I found felt like they fell into one of two categories. They either treated dreams like a generic dictionary, where every symbol means the same thing for everyone, or they felt too clinical and disconnected from the strange, emotional way dreams actually feel.
Nightly Echoes is my attempt at something more personal.
It is a dream journal that helps interpret each dream within the context of the user’s own life. You can write or speak your dream, add personal context about what is happening in your waking life, and receive a Jungian-informed reflection that looks at the dream through that lens.
Over time, Nightly Echoes helps surface recurring symbols, emotions, characters, settings, and patterns across entries. The goal is not just to interpret one dream once. It is to help people notice the deeper connections between their dreams and begin building a personal dream dictionary that is actually shaped by their own experience.
I’d love feedback from the Product Hunt community:
What would make a dream journal like this feel genuinely useful enough to return to over time?
And if you’ve ever tracked your dreams before, what patterns did you wish a tool could help you notice?
