Nickel is an expense tracker with no bank login, no account and no cloud. Log a spend in two taps, or photograph the receipt and Nickel reads the merchant, total and date on your phone. Ask Siri to log one without opening the app. Monthly limits per category show a live burn rate instead of a total after the fact, with a Live Activity in the last days of the month. Widgets, a Lock Screen glance and Control Center buttons for when you are already holding the phone.

Hi, I'm Andrii. Nickel exists because every expense app wanted my bank password, and I did not want to give it. Everything here stays on the device, including the receipt scanning. The thing I use most is the burn rate: knowing on the 12th that I am spending at a pace that ends badly is more useful than a red number on the 30th. Ask me anything about the on-device receipt reading, it was the hardest part.
