Really good idea! Finding something thats personalised and to the point is difficult these days on most of the jobboards. Most job boards are focused these days to suit the ATS compatibilities and personalisation for candidates are missing or limited to a few parameters. Would be great to see if it also helps the candidates to see comparison between their dream roles vs their current talents, skills and experiences.

Hi @darshak_bhatt , yes, indeed! The fact that current job boards don't have the ability to convey a "vibe" to a role is also something that drove me to try creating this new kind of search experience. It's always difficult to know if you fit in before your first day at work, but you can at least guess it beforehand, and that's the point exercise here. As to the comparison: so far it shows the skills that match with the job description. You're making a good point in also displaying the differences, so candidates can work on certain skills that might help land them their dream job!

It works! It recommended one job that seemed really interesting and then showed me another job stating that I wasn't a good fit. This looks like it'd be a huge time saver for job seekers.

Thanks for the feedback @martyn_garcia , well noted! Since this is an early version, the database covers most jobs, but for some industries it doesn't go very deep, hence the negative message on the job you're mentioning. This is also something we'll be looking into: hiding less relevant jobs from the results list. Stay tuned for further updates!

I already took it for a spin and see better performance against the old school job sites. I love the idea of AI disruption in the job seeking industry. I would love to know if the job posters can be helped by AI as well.

At the moment we're covering the job seekers' side, but we'll be looking into ways on how to apply the technology we're using for companies looking for talent. There are various ways we can do this, essentially providing a "reverse match", meaning hiring companies will be shown relevant candidates. Stay tuned for updates!

Agree that there is great potential! Would just be great to have more jobs here :P I actually enjoyed putting together my responses (much thanks to my AI helper) and would love to see something similar from the hiring manager's side (if you were ever to add direct job creation functionality). Something that in a few steps tells more of a story about the person that I am looking to hire and their passions/skills rather than a checklist of eligibility requirements. I think there's a lot of directions you could take this and looking forward to following next iterations.

Hey @caitvickers, thanks for giving it a try and you thoughts! Regarding the job selection, that's right. We launched with a broad but limited database of open roles to primarily gather feedback on the natural language search. We found that this UX works, but we'd have to niche down on a role/industry/region to provide good results. I've put together a launch stats document outlining the findings at https://nextjobs.app/stats. Regarding the hiring company's side, that's also valuable feedback! It's surely something for the future. We're focusing on the candidate's side to start with, trying to get one person their dream role. Once the product serves job seekers well, we'll see where the journey goes.
