Hi Product Hunt š
I built NexDocs after getting tired of free PDF converters that watermarked my files, buried the download behind ads, or uploaded my documents to a server I knew nothing about.
NexDocs does the everyday document jobs in one place:
⢠Organize ā merge, split, remove/extract pages, scan to PDF
⢠Optimize ā compress with real quality presets, repair, OCR
⢠Edit ā text, images, shapes, highlights, comments, watermarks, page numbers
⢠Security ā protect, unlock, sign, redact, compare
⢠Convert ā PDF ā Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, HTML, Markdown
40 tools, one clean interface, live progress on every job, 25 languages, and no signup to start.
What makes it different: it can run on your own server (Docker Compose), uploads are ClamAV-scanned, and files are deleted automatically after processing, 1 hour for guests, 7 days at most on Premium. For anyone handling contracts, medical records or client documents, that matters more than a slicker UI.
Free tier is genuinely usable. Premium is $7/month for 95 MB files and 10,000 conversions a day.
What I'd love feedback on:
Which tool would you reach for first, and does the flow feel obvious without instructions?
If you handle sensitive documents, what would you need to trust a converter or to self-host one?
Anything missing from the tool list that you'd expect?
Happy to answer everything. Thanks for looking š
