Back in 2023, we started working on New Resilience since we had seen first hand the problems of getting access to a therapist and seeing progress in therapy. I spent multiple sessions with different therapists going over my background and trying to find a good fit. Each time, I would spend a lot of time explaining my history only to find out that it was not a good fit, when it came to providing insights or tools based on my unique situation, something that was not apparent from looking at their profiles.😫😫 In this phase, I just gave up on therapy after spending hours of time and 100s of dollars. 🤯 🤯After much trial and error, I finally found an ideal therapist, but the initial few sessions were just about going deeper into my history and generate context. So it took a long time to build the therapeutic relationship. Additionally, my therapist would provide tools as therapy homework but I would find it cumbersome to do these between sessions, resulting in me not doing these and hence not seeing progress. 🫠 This is why we built New Resilience, a new way to ✨✨find your ideal therapist quickly by doing an AI-assisted evaluation once, while avoiding repeating yourself to every therapist and having meaningful consultations.💰💰 Reduce the overall cost by generating context from exploration with the AI assistant outside sessions, which the therapist leverages in a summarized view to get more done each session, thus requiring fewer sessions overall.
