Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I’m the creator of NetWorthCurve.com, and I am incredibly excited to share this launch with you all today.
💡 The Inspiration & The Problem
The inspiration for this project came from pure, personal frustration. I wanted a clean, unified way to track my financial health. Like many of you, my asset mix doesn't just sit in a traditional bank account—I hold fiat currency, crypto, and physical bullion (gold/silver).
When I looked at existing personal finance apps, I ran into two massive roadblocks:
The Privacy Nightmare: Almost every modern tool demands that you link your live bank accounts and hand over your financial passwords.
Spreadsheet Fatigue: To keep my data private, I turned to Excel and Google Sheets. But managing formulas, trying to update crypto or gold spot prices manually every month, and dealing with charts that break on mobile browsers felt like a second job.
I realized there was a missing middle ground: The privacy and control of a manual spreadsheet, paired with the speed, automation, and beautiful visualization of a modern web application.
🛠️ How the Approach Evolved
When I first started coding NetWorthCurve, it was just a simple database. But as I spent more time building and using it, my process completely shifted. I realized that a financial tracker shouldn't just force you into generic buckets. It needs to bend to your specific financial life while helping you plan for tomorrow.
The app quickly evolved from a simple data-entry table into a highly customizable, comprehensive financial toolkit:
📊 Custom Financial Columns: Create your own custom columns to track highly specific assets, liabilities, income streams, and expenses exactly the way you want to name them. No rigid templates.
📄 Present Snapshot: Instantly generate clean, downloadable monthly balance sheets (PDF/CSV) without ever linking a single bank account.
📈 Future Forecast: Visualize your long-term wealth trajectory over time with an interactive 10-year compound interest forecasting graph.
🧮 Everyday Utility: Native calculators built right into the dashboard to quickly crunch simple interest formulas for your everyday loans and investments.
🌱 Where We Go Next
NetWorthCurve is 100% free, entirely private, Client side architecture and built for people who want to truly own their financial data without the friction of paid subscriptions.
I’m here in the comments all day—I would absolutely love your brutal feedback, feature requests, and ideas on how to make this the ultimate tool for Financial freedom enthusiasts and investors alike.
Thank you for the support, and start your curve today! 📈

💡 Bright idea
How does the 10-year forecast handle irregular contributions or withdrawals over time, or does it assume a flat monthly amount the whole way through?
Thank you for checking out the launch and for the great question!
Currently, the graph is generated based on a flat projection model using the Starting Principal, Time Horizon, Annual Return Rate, and a fixed Monthly Contribution across the entire period.
However, your point about handling irregular contributions or withdrawals over time is incredibly valid—real-world finances are rarely that linear. I've taken note of this and will look into implementing more dynamic cash flow options in a future update, along with other great suggestions that i may receive from the community.
Thanks for helping make the tool better!

How do you keep the data private if everything is free and browser-based? Is anything stored on your servers, or does it all stay local on my device?
We keep your data private by completely eliminating the middleman: networthcurve.com is built as a static website using a 100% client-side JavaScript architecture.
This means there are absolutely no backends, databases, or cloud syncs involved. Every calculation and piece of data you enter is processed entirely within your own browser. Because our website physically doesn't have a server to send data to, your financial details never leave your device. Your privacy isn't just a policy here; it's hardcoded into the architecture.

Finally a net worth tracker that doesn't ask for my bank login, the multi-currency support is a nice touch for someone like me with assets in different countries. The 10-year projection graph made it way too easy to spend an hour playing what-if scenarios.

@sabriatasavun Hey Sabri, thank you so much for the kind words!
Avoiding bank logins was a non-negotiable for me when building this. I wanted a tool where people could track global assets securely without handing over their keys, so I'm thrilled the multi-currency support is hitting the mark for you.
And don't worry, you aren't the first person to get lost in those 10-year "what-if" scenarios! That is exactly what the engine was built for—to help you visualize the long game clearly and safely. Appreciate you checking out the site!

Does the 10-year forecast update automatically as I add new assets, or do I need to re-enter everything to see changes?
No, the 10 -year forecast engine do not sync automatically because your data is 100% local and never stored on a cloud database.
Here is how it works:
Shared Currency: The currency you select applies automatically to all three engines.
Independent Engines: Because there is no backend, data points for the Net Worth Calculator, Monthly Balance Sheet, and the 10-Year Compound/Simple Interest Calculator must be entered individually.
To see changes in your 10-year forecast graph, just input your updated figures directly into that specific engine.
