Why we build Nate?
Here at nate we believe machines should do the heavy lifting, so that humans can focus on what matters. And we decided to start with the checkout process. Typing up your credit card, logging into your account, having to ask your friend for their address if you wanted to send them a gift, going through every little step in the form… boring, right? So we decided the future of checkout, is no checkout at all.
How it works?
We developed RPA technology that can navigate websites in the same way humans do. It understands web code and decides where to click and what to fill out, so you don't have to. And it works on any website. Really. Here’s what nate enables you to do:
- Skip the checkout from anywhere. Seriously. Just tap share, tap nate, tap buy.
- Save items from any site
- Create & share lists
- Send gifts via text or link (without needing the person’s address)

Hey there @albertsaniger and Team, nice idea! I like the concept.
Couple of questions:
1) Is it free to use? How will you commercialize it?
2) When will the Android version be ready? :)
3) Is the AI 'clever' enough to also be able to do all this for websites that are not in English (I assume yes, just curious)

To answer your questions:
- nate is free to download and use, we just charge $1 fee per transaction in order to issue a virtual card - that way, the consumer's information remains safe, and the merchants only see this temporary virtual card number. We also don't sell any user data at all, so nate users have full privacy & security.
- no set timeline yet, for now just iOS :)
- the Ai is clever enough to be able to do all this in non-English sites, but we are only available in the US for the time being ;) tackling one problem at a time
@albertsaniger@thais_branco Neat stuff... I don't generally struggle with the buying part as much as the returning part. Does nate make returns easier?

nate doesn't handle the shipping/returns - we facilitate the purchase in between consumers and stores. So, after you click buy, you'll receive a confirmation email from the merchant themselves - and then have to follow the return instructions.
we have an epic customer service in app though, that can help with any questions you may have!

Really nice concept! Does the share with nate feature essentially mean add to cart or do you purchase it directly once you share with nate?
@charlesrekington Great question! If you click buy, it will buy it right then and there in one click. If you're still thinking about it or want to add it to a list, you can tap the heart to save it to your nate app

The wish list feature is really cool! Are there any limits to the lists, as in the amount of items you can add or how many wish lists you have? Also, is an item removed from a friends wish list if you gift them that item?
@joshualayne I'm a bit biased, but I love the lists feature too ;) and there's no limit to it, you can create as many as you'd like, wish as many items as you'd like. As of now, we don't offer a checklist/registry format, but stay tune for future list customizations 👀
