Natality turns journaling into a reflective dialogue. Its AI companion helps you explore your thoughts conversationally, then analyses patterns across entries to reveal themes, emotional trends, and areas of growth over time. Voice journaling, insight summaries, and a reflective community help turn scattered thoughts into meaningful self-understanding. Inspired by traditions of spiritual formation, Natality is designed for anyone interested in reflection, purpose, and personal growth.

Hi Product Hunt!
I’m Micah, founder of Natality. We're a small team of journaling enthusiasts who set out to tackle a frustration we kept running into: a practice with decades of research behind it - shown to improve everything from wellbeing and working memory, to sleep and immune function - yet still surprisingly difficult for many people to get started with, or sustain.
We built Natality to change that. We're far from the first folks to create a journaling app, but felt there’s still much more that could be done to unlock the full potential of reflective practices. So, drawing on my coaching background, we started rethinking what journaling could look like if it involved more carefully honed guidance, reflection, and continuity along the way.
Natality uses AI-generated reflections and pattern insights to offer a conversational journaling experience - to help people notice what’s emerging in their thinking over time, and make journaling easier to begin, and keep coming back to. Our goal is simply to make one of the world’s most powerful practices more accessible to more people.
Some things the app currently includes:
Voice or text journaling.
AI journaling companion.
AI-generated reflections on your entries.
Summaries of themes emerging in your writing.
A thoughtful community space for reflection and encouragement.
Would love to get your feedback on the app. And your takes on what would make journaling easier or more meaningful for you to sustain over time.
