NAPMAC: The Anti-Sleep Alarm for Mac

I’m Lee, and I make Mac apps on the side. NapMac started after I saw SlapMac and thought: what if a Mac app had a sense of humour and actually helped you get work done?

NapMac lives in your menu bar and catches you nodding off at your desk. If your eyes stay closed too long, it sets off a loud alarm and a voice wakes you up. You can pick a British, Irish or robot voice. Then it hands you a “Caught Napping” card with your nap count, to share or keep to yourself.

A few things people ask first:

Be honest: how often do you nod off at your desk? 😴

I ve built a small Mac app about this, and I ve found people s answers are either never or every single day after lunch . Not much in between.

So I m curious:

When does it get you? Mid-morning, post-lunch, or the late-night just one more hour ?
What actually works to stay awake? Coffee, standing desk, a walk, nothing?
If an app caught you and woke you up, would you want it polite, or would you rather it properly roasted you?

Mine is straight after lunch. Every day. Without fail.
