18 free tools forcom domain names, built on a daily snapshot of 160M+ registered names: ideas, short names, scoring, lookalikes, a drop calendar and name watches. Pro adds daily keyword alerts by email or Telegram. No sign-up for the tools.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Krasen, the maker of NameDaemon.
The problem I kept hitting: with AI I can build a working product in days, and then finding a good, free .com for it takes longer than the build. Most short, pronounceable names are taken, many are parked for resale, and the free ones are usually names nobody wants.
So I built tools that look at a daily snapshot of every registered .com (160M+ names, from the registry's zone file) and answer the questions I was asking by hand:
Find: name ideas that are really free, 3 to 6 letter names, domain hacks, matching GitHub/npm/Bluesky handles, ENS and Solana names, a brand studio.
Judge: a 0 to 100 score that explains itself, a strength report with a seller pitch (no made-up price), a check for unintended meanings in other languages, five-year costs, and a history check for used domains.
Watch: lookalikes of your brand, domain health (expiry, DNS, SPF/DMARC), a calendar of names about to drop, and what was deleted today.
Two things I tried to be careful about:
Honesty. "Not in the snapshot" is not "available", and drop dates are estimates. Every result says which day it is from, and the best names are confirmed against the registry live.
The data. I use ICANN's zone file under its terms, so there is no download or bulk export of the list. You get answers, not the list.
Everything is free. You can watch one taken name and get an email when it becomes available. Pro ($9/month, on the waitlist now) sends a daily alert, by email, Telegram or on the site, for names that match your keywords, and lets you watch up to 50 names. No account, no password.
There's also a daily "State of .com" page with aggregate numbers, free to quote.
I'd love your feedback: which tool did you reach for first, and what's missing? I'm here all day.
