### The founder note
We built Nalnda around a simple question:
**Why can I resell a physical book after reading it, but my eBook becomes worth $0 the moment I finish reading it?**
Today, digital books are essentially one-way purchases. You buy, you read, and the value disappears.
Nalnda is our attempt to change that.
With Nalnda, readers can **buy, read and eventually resell** their eBooks. The resale isn't just a basic second-hand marketplace—we're building a system that considers how much a book has been consumed, how much used supply is already in the market, and how royalties should flow back to the original author.
In short:
**Buy → Read → Resell → Discover → Repeat.**
We're starting with eBooks, but our bigger belief is that digital content should have a real ownership and secondary-market layer.
We've built the first version, filed IP around the underlying resale and royalty mechanism, and now we're putting Nalnda in front of readers and creators.
If you're a reader, author, publisher, or simply someone who thinks digital ownership should work differently, **I'd love to hear what you think.**
