Most wishlist tools are slow to add items to and messy for guests. MyWishDune scans Amazon product pages (or imports a whole Amazon list) so building a Wishlist takes minutes, not an hour. Guests can reserve gifts with just a link — no account needed.

Hey — this started really small. I was putting together a wishlist for my son's birthday and figured there'd already be a decent tool for it. Instead I kept hitting the same annoying stuff: slow item adding, bad Amazon support, way too much friction for something that should take five minutes.
So I built a tiny version just for our family. It worked better than I expected, and I enjoyed building it enough to turn it into MyWishDune.
Right now it can scan Amazon product pages or pull in a whole Amazon list in one go, and guests can reserve items just from the link — no account needed, which mattered a lot since a lot of my family isn't super techy. I'm based in the UAE, so I've also started adding a local marketplace, with the goal of supporting more regions over time so a wishlist actually reflects how people shop wherever they are.
Affiliate links are in there too, but they're optional — you can turn them off per wishlist if you want it completely clean.
Would love feedback on the UX, and whether this is something you'd actually use with your own family or friends.

how does the reservation actually work, like do guests pick the item and you get a heads up, or is it more of a soft "claim" with no coordination?

@eminetuzem34272 within the current state it has an option to ask for mandatory name but in general it is soft claim and anyone can actually reserve and unreserve any existing product in the list. This was a sacrifice to keep this clean and simple allowing customers use it with no registration or any other data provisioning. The notification function is in progress.

The no-account reservation flow is such a thoughtful move, way fewer drop-offs from people who just want to grab a gift quickly. Scanning whole Amazon lists at once is a real time-saver too.

@nurglmmyj thanks! this was the main goal. make the whole setup and ongoing interaction quick and clean.

Finally tried this and the Amazon page scanner is genuinely fast, saved me from manually typing out 20 items. The guest reserve-with-just-a-link thing is a nice touch too, no signup friction for the people actually buying me stuff.

finally a wishlist tool that doesn't feel like a chore, the amazon scan saved me so much time putting mine together.
