Most mythology apps are encyclopedias. MythologyNow is a living universe of the world's mythologies, told as cinema for your ears: 5-minute audio episodes written and narrated like films, with original art for every god and monster, word-synced transcripts, collectible cards, comics, ambient soundscapes and an AI oracle. Launching with 451 episodes across three mythologies, and the community votes what comes next: Japanese, Chinese, Hindu, Celtic, Aztec, Yoruba... until every mythology is told.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Javi, and together with my brother we spent the last year building MythologyNow: a universe for every mythology on Earth, told the way these stories deserve.
Everything out there was either a dry encyclopedia or a 3-hour podcast. We wanted the myths to feel like cinema: 5-minute audio episodes written and narrated like films, original art for every god and monster, transcripts synced word by word, collectible cards you earn by listening, comics, ambient soundscapes, and an oracle you can ask anything.
We're launching with the complete Greek, Norse and Egyptian catalogs (451 episodes). But that's just the beginning: inside the app, the community votes which mythology we build next. Japanese, Chinese, Hindu, Celtic, Aztec, Yoruba... we want to tell them all.
We're a tiny team of two. No investors, no studio: just a lot of love for these stories.
Which mythology should we build next? Cast your vote. I'll be here all day. 🏛️
