Hey everyone! Solo dev here. Built this over the past year — nights, weekends, the whole thing.
The idea came from "life in weeks" posters. You know the ones — your whole life as a grid of squares, each one a week. I had one on my wall for years. Every Sunday I'd color in a square and think: that's it? A colored box?
I wanted the grid to be alive. Each cell should hold a real moment — a photo, a feeling, the people you were with. Not a checkmark. Not a streak count. Something you'd actually want to look back at.
So I built My Tempus around three ideas:
Time should be visible. Most apps hide your life behind lists and feeds. A grid shows you everything at once — the full shape of a week, a month, a year. Patterns you'd never notice otherwise. And when you want to revisit, your timeline works five ways: calendar view, map view, photo wall, stats dashboard, and the classic list. Whatever angle you need.
Your data belongs to you. No cloud. No accounts. No analytics. Everything sits in Core Data on your device. I built it this way because I'm tired of apps that treat personal memories like a resource to mine.
Software shouldn't expire. Lifetime purchase option. No forced subscriptions. If you pay for something, it should be yours.
Built natively with SwiftUI. Runs fully offline. The wallpaper engine renders your grid into images — all local, no AI, no network calls.
I'd love honest feedback. Especially what's confusing or missing on first open.
Tech: SwiftUI, Core Data (programmatic model), WidgetKit, StoreKit 2, MapKit.
Thanks for checking it out. 🙏

Thanks for the support, everyone! A few people asked:
**"Is it really offline?"** — Yes. No network calls at all. Not even for analytics. You can use it in airplane mode.
**"What's the business model?"** — Free tier covers 80% of use cases. Pro ($5.99/mo, $39.99/yr, $79.99 lifetime) removes limits. One-and-done option available. No data monetization.
**"Android?"** — iOS only for now. Built natively with SwiftUI, so porting would be a full rewrite. Not ruling it out, but no timeline.
**"How do you pronounce Tempus?"** — TEM-pus. Latin for "time."
