Hi PH 👋 I'm Luca, I built Mutagenix solo.
The idea: what if evolution were a game you could feel? You inject chemical elements into a formless cell and it mutates into a unique creature in real time — every choice reshapes its body, powers and destiny. Then you fight, breed a real lineage, and form clans.
The bit I'm proudest of: every creature is rendered procedurally from its genetics, and that same genetic data optionally drives an AI pipeline that paints a portrait — which re-generates as the creature evolves. Same data, two renderers; free players get the procedural creature, Premium unlocks the painted one.
Completely free to play, in the browser, mobile-friendly. Premium (€3.99/mo) is just the art + monthly credits.
Would love your feedback — especially on the first-session experience 🧬

Tried tossing in some weird elements and watched something genuinely unexpected crawl out of the cell, that hook really works. Browser-based creature evolution with this much personality is rare, definitely keeping an eye on what people breed next.

@cansu6q8t Ha — "something unexpected crawled out" is the exact feeling I was chasing. The outcomes aren't hand-scripted, they emerge from the element combos, so honestly even I get surprised sometimes. And you spotted the good part: breeding is where it gets deep — traits carry down real lineages, so the community slowly evolves its own bloodlines. Would genuinely love to see what you breed 🧬

The real-time chemical injection mechanic is a clever touch, watching your creature's form shift as you add elements feels genuinely experimental rather than scripted.

@esmanurwhbv Thank you — "experimental rather than scripted" is spot on, and probably the compliment I'm happiest to hear. Nothing is a pre-baked animation: the creature's form is recomputed from its genetics every single time you inject, so it really reacts to your choices instead of playing a canned sequence. Glad that came through 🔬

the chemistry-based evolution loop is such a smart hook, way more tactile than random mutation sliders. love that the premium tier actually does something meaningful with the AI art angle instead of just slapping a filter on it.

@bar191801 Thank you — that's exactly what I was going for. I wanted every injection to feel like a real decision, not a slider you drag. And yeah, I refused to make Premium a paywall filter: the AI portrait is generated from the same genetics that drive the actual creature, so it actually means something as it evolves. Curious to see what you evolve if you give it a spin 🧬

love the concept of injecting elements and watching a creature evolve in real time, weirdly mesmerizing. the fighting arena is a fun touch.

@dnd113168 Thanks so much! "Weirdly mesmerizing" might be my favourite compliment — that real-time mutation moment is the thing I obsessed over the most. The arena gets pretty wild once creatures start specializing into glass-cannons or tanks. Hope you build something monstrous 👾
