This is great. I'm going to try to integrate into my daily life. One thing: what about allowing image upload from the camera role on the device (iPhone) and not iCloud Drive (or maybe have the option for either)?
can you make this a snap available for arm64 architecture? I see that the snap download is for amd64. I would love to install this on my linux pinephone and rpi. There's a whole pinephone community that would love an app like this on their devices. thank man! great product!
@alkline_webb Hi Alkline, thanks for the feedback. I tried to build arm64 but encountered some technical issues. Also in the mean time I don't have ARM64 device at my hand for testing it. But I have already place an order for pinephone, once it arrives I can start working on making a build works for it.
Hi there 👋,
My name is Fang-Pen Lin, best known as the creator of Avataaars Generator (https://www.producthunt.com/post...) in this community.
I've been searching for a perfect note-taking app for my use case for a long time. I found myself sending myself messages or emails very often to write the note down or keep a file around quickly. But later, I realized it wasn't easy to organize these notes and files since messenger apps weren't built for note-taking after all. The worst part of using messenger apps for note-taking is that there's a potential risk you could send the message meant for you to the wrong person 🙈😱
Besides note-taking, I also found it challenging to share a piece of code or file across my Android / iOS / Mac / Windows / Linux devices. Since I like the note-taking experience with the messenger app, I wondered why not build an app like a messenger but only for yourself? And then Monoline was born! 🎉
It's a simple app that acts like a messenger app allowing you to send messages only to yourself. A file can be uploaded then downloaded anywhere you like, be it your Windows PC or your Linux machine. You also can use hashtags to help organize your notes and find them easily and quickly later.
I use it daily, and I hope you find the app useful as well. We are currently working hard to build more features, such as photo uploading, voice recording, a browser extension to keep a bookmark or quote an article quickly. Now, the app is free. There will probably always be a free plan. In the meantime, we are considering a suitable pricing model and features for a paid plan. I would like to know what you think about our app, and please feel free to reach out to us at support@monoline.io if you have anything you would love to see us build or have any questions 🙌

Game-changer, I (like you) send myself stuff all. The. Time. Constantly emailing myself info, texting myself, etc. I like the idea behind it and also how it backs up on the cloud.
@maxine_buchert I thought I can't be the only one doing this, that's why I built it 😄 Thanks for your feedback, it helps for this idea validation a lot

So useful, I always send myself things and either end up emailing it or using notetaking apps when what I really need is a self-messaging app.
@gourmet I think many good startup ideas can be extracted from how people abuse existing software. And this is just one of them. Thank you so much for the feedback! 🙌

Absolutely love this. I send myself emails and iMessages and the time. This is solid. Dark Mode (Dracula Pro theme 😉) would be🔥
@itsbrex Hi Brian, thank you so much for the kind words and feedback. We will support dark mode in the near future and will definitely take your Dracula Pro theme suggestion into consideration. 🙌
