I'm Ben, an indie developer from Armenia, and today I'm excited to share something I've been working on for the past few months.

It's called Monetor.

The idea came from a pretty simple frustration.

I wanted to understand where my money was going, but every finance app I tried had the same problem: I had to either connect my bank account (which is unavailable for me and 2.5 to 3 billion people by regulations)or manually enter every transaction.

And where I live, bank integrations aren't really an option for most apps.

So I started wondering: Why can't my phone just track my spending for me?

I started experimenting with Apple Pay, iOS Shortcuts, and payment notifications. What began as a small experiment eventually turned into a full personal finance app.

With Monetor, you can automatically capture eligible transactions, categorize spending, see where your money goes, manage multiple wallets, track recurring bills, and get a clearer picture of your finances.

All without connecting your bank account.

I built the first version mostly on my own, from the app and backend to the website and all the little things you don't realize you need until you're actually launching something 😅

Monetor is now live on the App Store, and seeing the first people use something I built has been a pretty incredible feeling.

There's still a lot I want to build. I have bigger plans for Monetor, but right now I'm focused on making automatic expense tracking work really well.

I believe tracking your money should be effortless. You pay, and your finances should update themselves. That's what I'm trying to build with Monetor.
