New in Mockin: Job Match Score
Looking for a job as a UX/UI or Product Designer? Here's a feature that helps you save time, reduce application anxiety, and apply with confidence.
What is Job Match Score?
A feature that analyzes how well your resume aligns with any job description. We evaluate Skill Match, Domain Match, and Role and Level Match to show how closely your resume aligns with the job description.
How it works:
1. Upload your resume
2. Paste the job description
3. Get a detailed match report with strengths and gaps
4. Improve your resume directly in the Resume Builder
5. Track all analyzed jobs and focus on where you actually have strong chances
Why Mockin is different:
Built specifically for UX/UI and Product Designers, we understand your craft
I'm a designer and hiring manager myself, no compromises, only tools I would want to use
Evolving with the design community, every feature is shaped by real needs

P.S. Your feedback makes this better.

Mockin
Hey community!
This is our second Mockin launch on Product Hunt, and here's what we've managed to build over the past 7 months:
1. We've improved our Screening Interview. Now you can practice based on your professional level: junior, middle, senior, or lead.
2. We added Assessment Interview, which evaluates your current level and suggests what roles you might be ready for.
3. We introduced the One Question Interview. This unique question bank contains 200+ questions that MAANG companies actually ask during screening interviews. We've organized these by categories: Experience, Motivation, Design Thinking, Collaboration, Design Thinking & Research, Feedback & Conflict Solving, and Leadership.
But that's not all
4. We added Resume Checker, which analyzes your resume and suggests improvements while making it ATS-friendly.
5. We built Resume Matcher, which personalizes your resume for specific job postings.
6. We completely redesigned the interview experience with our AI-HR - now it's even more calming and focused.
Oh, and I almost forgot. Over 1,300 designers have already prepared for interviews using Mockin.
That's it, no more words.
Try it out, get prepared, and land your dream job.
🙌
@egor_krasnoperov congrats with the launch man. Product looks polished!
Mockin
@islam_midov1 thank you so much, Islam! We tried to make the product as useful and convenient as possible!
@egor_krasnoperov i was prepared to be underwhelmed but definitely exceeded my expectations

The improvements in Mockin sound fantastic! 🎉 I'm particularly intrigued by the One Question Interview feature with its 200+ MAANG questions. How frequently do you update the question bank to ensure it stays relevant to current industry trends? 🤔
Mockin
@jaredl hi and thank you for the comment! We constantly keep our questions up to date. Our goal is to ensure not only that they reflect the latest industry requirements, but also that the interview process is seamless — with questions asked in a logical sequence and taking previous answers into account
Mockin
@jaredl thank you for your question! Right now, our question bank is focused on the first part of interviews — the screening interview. And as Andrey mentioned, we're constantly expanding it. For example, we'll soon be adding questions related to using AI in design work.
We're also working on Whiteboard Interview training, since that's one of the most stressful parts of the interview process.
People who like to talk with ChatGPT… Are you real?
Mockin
@reepush I like your perspective. But I'd look at this as a new stage of evolution. For example, according to a McKinsey report, the trend of AI integration into work processes will only increase. And we need to be ready for that.
My opinion is that denying AI as a tool is pointless. But completely relying on it isn't worth it either. Balance is important in everything.

@reepush hi Grisha. As real as it gets in 2025. Sometimes ChatGPT is just a great way to get unstuck

Uuuuu, this could help to be onboarded. I remember how @Teammates.ai launched Sara – that revises interviews (and selects applicants). Pretty curious how it can handle applicants that are being prepared by AI models.
Mockin
@busmark_w_nika, thank you! We're now actively talking with HR from different companies and understanding how our product can help B2B.
For example, Mockin can help HR managers improve candidate quality by implementing pre-screening interviews and reducing time-to-hire.

@egor_krasnoperov Which big companies are you talking to?
Mockin
@busmark_w_nika I wasn't talking about big companies 🙂 We're talking with small companies/startups that have a high volume of candidate applications, primarily for Middle, Junior, and Senior positions.
Mockin
@aleksanadr_lavrinenko awesome! Thank you ⭐️
Mockin
@aleksanadr_lavrinenko thank you! We're also researching what if we could give designers an AI design buddy/mentor that would help designers grow and develop professionally! It's a fascinating topic.
AltPage.ai
Congrats and are you guys planning to expand the job type? Maybe Job Interview Simulator For Developer or SEM Marketer in the future?
Mockin
@joey_zhu_seopage_ai hi Joey! We actually started from there. Originally Mockin offered interviews for all IT specialists, but we decided to focus on one segment to dig into the problem deliver an outstanding experience. Opening simulator for other roles is on our radar
AltPage.ai
@lipkovskiy Yes good to know that! Thanks for answering.
Mockin
@joey_zhu_seopage_ai nice question! We also have requests for Product Managers and Data Analysts. But for now, we're focused on designers to build the best product, and then we'll scale.
AltPage.ai
@egor_krasnoperov Yes thanks for answering, maybe it depends on how AI will kill some of the jobs and then your team can be more focused Lol..
Mockin
@joey_zhu_seopage_ai that's true 😅
Congrats, team! Love the product. Got any plans on the HR front? I'm guessing you've got dozens of awesome product designers, and I might need one soon. Anything for hiring managers in the works?
Mockin
@s5f5f5f thanks for the feedback! We've got some ideas and sort of a pitch deck for improving the hiring funnel. Connecting awesome designers with hiring managers and helping them to avoid wasting the time is on our radar
