Minutehand: Meeting transcripts for your AI agents

I kept watching a client team do the same thing after every call. Open the notetaker, ignore the summary it had written, copy the raw transcript out, paste it into Claude. One meeting at a time, by hand, because Claude had all their necessary work context over months of conversations, email and files, while the meetings app ever did. So Claude's analysis of those transcripts was always deeper and more insightful.

So I built the boring half and stopped there. Minutehand sits in the menu bar, watches your calendar, and offers to record a couple of minutes before a meeting starts. It captures mic plus system audio, so nothing joins the call as a participant and it works with Zoom, Meet, Teams or two people at a table. Transcription runs through your own Deepgram API key. What lands is a plain Markdown file in a folder you picked, with the meeting title, date, duration and attendees written into the top of it.

There is no summary feature and there is never going to be one.

It is macOS 13 or later but even works on old Intel Macs.
