Consider adding a "favorite contacts" list on the home screen so users can quickly tap a name instead of searching every time. It would make calling even easier for grandparents who might forget specific contact details.
@glzar617617 Even better, the main differentiator functionality of the app is the one-tap call. Basically, the older adult has a video-call shortcut to a default contact; this can be setup by a more tech-savvy member of the family. But, yeah, I am still considering adding an intermediate profile with bigger buttons (actually profile pictures) that can be used by older adults that can navigate a list of contacts.
A thought from someone who set this up for my grandma: add an option for the device to auto-answer after a set number of rings from approved contacts, so she never misses a call when she can't reach the screen in time.
@araczeliha97691 Thanks for the comment. You know, that feature you suggest might actually be useful. I will seriously think about adding it.
My mom figured out the big button right away without any explanation, which never happens. The whole setup really does feel like it was built for someone who just wants to see their grandkids without fussing with menus.

The one-tap design is genuinely thoughtful, skipping all the usual friction that confuses my mom on FaceTime. Big contacts and minimal steps show real empathy for the people it's built for.
Honestly this is such a thoughtful idea. The big buttons and one-tap setup would genuinely make it easier for my dad to actually call me instead of staring at his phone confused.
