Bringing the Cloud to your Local Machine 🛰️
Hello Product Hunt! I'm Qamarudeen, and I'm thrilled to share MiniSky with you.
As Data Engineer, we love the cloud, but we hate the friction. Waiting for deployments, managing service accounts just for testing, and the constant fear of a surprise billing statement can slow down our creative flow.
I built MiniSky to reclaim that flow. It’s a single binary that emulates 29+ GCP services locally. But it’s not just a collection of mocks, it’s a high-fidelity environment that understands GCP’s complex behaviors like Long-Running Operations and IAM permissions.
What makes it different?
The Dashboard: We wanted a professional experience, so we built a premium web UI to visualize your local cloud state.
Terraform Integration: You can point your official Terraform provider to MiniSky and it "just works."
The "Mini" Philosophy: We believe local development tools should be 100% open-source and MIT licensed. No "Pro" gates, no feature limits.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! What’s the most painful part of your GCP dev workflow? Let’s see if MiniSky can solve it for you.
Happy local coding! 🚀

Can you use MiniSky as a drop in for CI tests, or is it mainly intended for local dev on a laptop?
@karimbenkeroum currently for local dev on your machine. The CI implementation is part of the future plan for Minisky.
Thank you @karimbenkeroum
