I just wanted a simple to-do app that looks good and stays out of my way. Couldn’t find one, so I built Mini List — clean design, keyboard shortcuts, local storage, and zero clutter.

👋 Hey everyone, I’m Danilo
A few days ago, I just wanted to write down what I had to do that day — nothing fancy, just a simple to-do list that looked good and didn’t ask me to sign up for anything.
So, I googled “minimalist to-do app.”
Clicked every link on two pages of results.
And somehow, every single one was either a bloated SaaS that wanted me to create a project and a workspace... or something that looked like it was made in 2003.
So yeah, I built my own.
It’s called Mini List — a clean, keyboard-driven to-do list that works offline, looks good, and doesn’t get in your way. You can customize the theme, see your progress, and just get stuff done without the clutter.
Everything’s stored locally — nothing gets sent to a server unless you’re on the Pro plan (a one-time $4.99), which adds syncing, sharing with real-time updates, and export to CSV, JSON, or Markdown.
It’s free, simple, and hopefully just what you wanted when you searched for a “minimalist to-do app.”
Would love to hear your thoughts — especially if you’re the kind of person who likes calm tools that just work.

@ogpreview Very pretty! I love it. Hopefully you can add Lists to organise many tasks if possible :) Thank you for building this cause I was looking for one!

@shagun_baranwal thank you, I'll add multiple lists really really soon!
@ogpreview Oh, and please add a button on hover left of a parent task to collapse or expand subtasks! This saves space and makes indenting tasks more useful.
I'm using Minilist for school a lot now. Thank you for your amazing webapp! And for the free plan please allow a minimum of 6 lists if possible because I have 6 subjects at school :( Thank you!
