Minarah is a full-screen prayer reminder for macOS with elegant alerts, Smart Countdown, and Focus Mode — helping you stay on time for every Salah without breaking focus.
Honestly? This app just works. I've tried other prayer reminders and they either look like they're from 2010 or spam you with notifications you end up ignoring.
Minarah's full-screen thing is actually perfect – catches your attention without being annoying. The countdown to the next prayer is super handy when I'm trying to figure out if I can squeeze in one more task or should just pray now.
Focus Mode is clutch when I'm in the zone but still want to keep track of time. Only real gripe is the setup was a bit confusing with location stuff at first, and the menu bar icon kinda disappears against my wallpaper sometimes. Would also be cool to pick different alert sounds. Also, the prayer times are generic. I would love if it could be dynamic based on the Local Area Time and schedules (IslamicFinder could be a could integration here).
But yeah, it's clean, does the job, doesn't try to do a million other things. If you need a prayer reminder for Mac that doesn't feel janky, grab this one.
@iliassami Thanks for your detailed feedback. Yes, our idea was to keep it as minimalistic as possible, and we're happy that you appreciate it.
While you can already customize the alert sound, we're still exploring ways to make the dynamic prayer time more accurate based on local time/schedule.
We took note of everyone's experience using the app and will make a few tweaks here and there to better cater to your needs.
