Migroot is a game-like tracker that helps you gather all the necessary documents for your move without stress and twice as fast as doing it on your own. It's perfect for those tired of endless phone notes and juggling a million expat community subscriptions.
Hey Hunters fam! 😺
I know you've seen a million "I built this because I needed it" stories, but hear me out - how often do you hear "I built this because immigration paperwork made me lose my will to live"?
I'm Kate, and together with my partner-in-crime @maryna_dobrovolska_ua, we've become accidental experts in the "which-document-do-they-want-now" dance across multiple countries. We're talking Belarus → Poland → Bali → Brazil (looks like we have a thing for B's), and Georgia → Bali (where we bonded over visa headaches) → Spain.
So we did what any reasonable people would do: turned bureaucracy into a game. Because if we're going to lose sleep over visa applications, we might as well get achievement points for it, right?
Enter Migroot - where your relocation paperwork meets power-ups, and visa runs become side quests. We tested it on 7-year-olds because, let's face it, if they can handle it, your jetlagged self definitely can.
Here's what we've got so far:
🗄️ Document vault (aka no more "which WhatsApp chat had my passport scan?")
🗂️ Actually helpful document comments (written by humans, we promise)
🧠 Real immigration experts (think cool NPCs, not final bosses)
🎮 Culture quests (like mastering the art of saying "no" to Bali scooter rentals)
📚 Difficulty-rated guides (from "easy peasy" to "maybe grab a coffee first")
Try it, break it, tell us what you think! We're building this for everyone who's ever stared at a visa application wondering if it's written in ancient runes.
Questions? Comments? Bureaucratic horror stories? Drop them below! I'll be here, probably fighting with a scanner somewhere... 😅
P.S. Yes, this is browser-based for now. Web app coming soon, right after we figure out how to turn apostille stamps into NFTs (kidding! ...or are we? 🤔)
@maryna_dobrovolska_ua@kate_prasniak Congratulations on the launch!
Any help in the fight against the terrible bureaucracy is very welcome, and even more so when you have experienced it first hand. 😅
@ivarsmas Thank you! 🎉 We totally agree — battling bureaucracy is no joke, especially when you’ve been through it yourself. 😅 What’s been your most frustrating experience with paperwork?
Congratulations with the launch 🥳 Now I want to move to Bali too. Dashboard and your website look great, well done. What other destinations do you plan in the future?
@alesya_sarycheva Thank you for checking out our little Migroot! 🎉 We have big plans ahead — aiming to cover all the countries with digital nomad visas. Up next, we’re focusing on Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal) and Brazil (calling surf buddies for @kate_prasniak 😉)
Are you a digital nomad too? Which countries interest you? 🥰
@kate_prasniak@hadjimina Wow! That’s actually a brilliant idea. Because taxes… oh my god, I’ve yet to find a country where figuring them out with consultants didn’t come with its own unique set of headaches. Spoiler: and it doesn’t always work out smoothly either! 😅
Looks like serious game-changer for digital nomads!
Got so many cases when no one exactly knows where to find the authority tomake stamps for birth certificates and so on, finding the path by myself - but there was no way to share it.
Will there be the community guides or personal experience share function for narrow cases?
@sergezakh Thank you for your great question! With user permission, we plan to collect anonymized data and user cases into a large knowledge base (by country, visa types, and specific conditions). Our buddies will have access to this database and will be able to personalize the dashboard for each user based on the accumulated data.
We’re also planning a closed community for Migroot users :) A place where you can connect with like-minded people and share experiences firsthand!
@anton_gubarenko Thank you! It means a lot to us. We’re all about making this journey a little less stressful and a lot more manageable. Appreciate the support!
congrats on the launch! such a cool idea. is there a list of countries (from and to) that you support?
also, is it relocation only or applicable for regular travel/work visas?
@anastasiabuga Thanks so much! 🙌 We’ll be actively posting updates on new destinations on our social media.
For now, our upcoming focus is on countries to: Indonesia, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Italy.
A full list will definitely be available on our website soon!
Also currently, we’re focusing on relocation and digital nomad visas, but we’re definitely looking to expand to cover regular travel and work visas in the future
Migroot is going to be a lifesaver! If you struggle to keep track of all the documents you needed for your move, and it's really stressful. This app will make everything easy and organized for you—no more endless notes or trying to remember what to do next. It’s quick, simple, and actually kind of fun to use. Definitely recommend it for anyone planning a big move!
@rhexai Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! 😊 It’s incredibly rewarding to hear how much you value what we’re doing. We’ll definitely be offering special prices for Product Hunters and their friends—stay tuned for that!
