Simple yet great. Personally the app was beyond expectation. Not for the advertised reasons thou. Don’t get me wrong it worked as promised. Let me explain. I am designer and if you know anything about designers we have atleast 20 chrome tabs open and 10 apps working simultaneously. As soon as I installed miccheck, I was thrown an alert that you mic is active.. first I checked my Google Meet tabs. Nothing there. When I couldn’t figure which tab has the mic on, I started closing tabs. Still nothing and then the browser. Still nothing. Then I started closing apps. To my revalation it was one of my designing tools ‘XD’ which was accessing the microphone😳. So there is more than one way to use Miccheck I guess. :p

If you could mute the mic using the menubar item or kb shortcut, that would make it a more useful tool. But then there are already 10s of products like that

Thanks Alan. It's slightly difficult to detect it on Windows. Still working on it, I hope to find a solution soon, considering I don't want to use user's admin rights.
