For the time being, our service will be free of charge. We will first see if and how the app is used. If in the future there is a desire for certain features that are costly for us to implement or infrastructure, it is quite conceivable to reserve some features for premium users.

you really do not validate an idea with it being free. Validating an idea also boils down to; knowing if and how willing people are to pay for your service.

Also, you will get reliable feedback and user feedback when they pay for it (when you create a clear business model) or when money has to be made off them (through advertisement).

Anki is a very powerful application but it may be a bit intimidating offering such a big variety of options.
For Memoru, our goal is to provide a fun and easy way of creating and learning with flashcards.

Initially free, we'll assess app usage. Later, costly features may be reserved for premium users if demanded.
We think that advertising is very distracting and therefore has no place in a learning app.

We were inspired to do this because we were not completely satisfied with other providers. We wanted to create a simple, beautiful app, without ads and unnecessary extra features.
Regarding gamification. We are discussing whether we should introduce gamification or not. At the moment we are still undecided because the quiz function is already somewhat game-like. We are sure that if the gamification will come, it should be possible to deactivate it in the settings.
