Hi Product Hunt, Nishkarsh here!
I kept trying journaling apps and they all felt the same: a diary with some photos stuck on. What I actually wanted was a scrapbook for my whole life. So I built Mementia.
Here is the idea. Every person, place, day, moment, and thing you care about gets its own little card, with a photo taped in, like a page in a slambook. Then you write about your day and tag those cards right in your entries. One tap takes you from a day to the people and places that were there, and over time your whole life quietly links together into a web you can wander back through. It feels cozy and a little nostalgic, which is the whole point.
It is local-first and private by design. Everything lives on your phone. No account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking. Mementia runs no servers and cannot see your entries. It opens to a blank page and waits for you.
I would genuinely love your feedback, especially on the card-and-tag idea and how the free tier feels. What would you make a card for first? Thank you for taking a look.
