Can you elaborate on how your site is differentiated from the other websites that perform this function? It appears that the group-based tool might be unique. Have you considered weighting the locations of your participants? If four people live in Los Angeles and one person lives in SF, it stands to reason that the ideal location isn't halfway between LA and SF (but rather it would be closer to LA). It should minimize net person-miles traveled by the group.

@searchresults @inishchith For LA and SF specifically, weighted would be better because there isn't much in the middle. However, generally speaking if its weighted then why not just have the person come over? The middle should simply be the middle, right? Or maybe the option of weighted or unweighted?

It's not weighed... Meaning that if you have 2 friends in stop A, and 1 friend in spot B, it will still be halfway, rather than 33% from Spot A, so total travelled distance is minimized. Also - after adding around 4-6 addresses, Google Maps Query limiter kicks in. You might need to throttle and show loading animation. I need 7-10 addresses frequently.

Awesome idea! It seems like it's finding the midway point taking driving as the default form of transportation. Any chance there's a way to make public transportation or walking the method?
