People who grew up on the internet simply don't have the tools they need to match the DIY ethos of their generation. Everything that exists assumes the customer is incapable. I’ve been using Maybe during the beta and I’m impressed. It’s a modern and clean way to see all my finances in one place. Plus, since it’s a paid service, it doesn’t feel like a gross scam like Mint. I’m not happy to see my 12 month returns for this year, but I’m happy that I CAN see them, easily, with Maybe.

@shpigford can the net worth tool factor in real estate assets (or other assets classes that are not as liquid)? And are there advisors who do fee for service consulting? It can be tough to track down personalized, impartial financial and investment advice (experiencing some challenges with this now, and not super stoked about talking to the people at a site like Personal Capital... would love to hear how Maybe is different)
