Hey Product Hunt 👋
We’re two brothers who didn’t have time to play RPG's with our friends and really missed that feeling we used to have during our sessions. So we decided to create something that would let us experience the same emotions, but without having to wait months for the next session. We’ve been making Master of Dungeon for over a year now, and we’re really excited to finally share this with you guys.
We went live worldwide a few hours ago. Master of Dungeon is a dungeon master that's free at 11pm on a Tuesday: no classes to pick, no dialogue options. You type what you do - "I check the innkeeper's hands for calluses" - and the AI runs it like a DM would, including telling you when the dice say otherwise.
What's different from other AI RPGs: there are no rails at all. Your character becomes whatever your actions make them, NPCs remember what you did earlier, and every dungeon and tavern is generated for that run.
One thing I'd honestly like your read on: free play is metered in actions. I'm not convinced we've got the balance right. If it feels stingy, say so here - I'd rather hear it from you than read it in a 1-star review.
