We started Manga AI after seeing several manga artists around us creating comics as a side business on RedNote and X. What surprised us was how fragmented the workflow still was. AI image tools could generate beautiful panels, but creators still had to jump between different tools for character consistency, storyboarding, dialogue, panel layout, and editing. So we started building Manga AI around the full creation process, not just image generation. The goal is simple: help creators go from an idea to consistent characters, complete manga pages, dialogue, and final edits in one workflow. Along the way, we realized the hardest part isn’t generating one good image. It’s keeping an entire comic coherent across multiple pages while still giving the creator enough control to edit everything. That’s the problem we’re trying to solve. We’re still early, and there’s a lot we want to improve.
