MakerMargin is the first profit tracker built specifically for makers, crafters, and market vendors โ not generic small businesses. Track your true cost-to-make with Bill of Materials, log sales by event, and instantly see which products and markets are actually profitable. Includes overhead allocation, event P&L reports, and Schedule C tax exports. Free tier available.

Hey Product Hunt! ๐
I built MakerMargin because, it was the tool I needed and couldn't find a as a maker myself. Makers, crafters, and market vendors have no idea if they're actually making money. This includes what the product costs to make and often never included overhead or payment for time investment.
Most creators I talked to were tracking costs in spreadsheets and scattered notes (or not at all). They'd pay $150 for a booth, $40 in gas, spend hours making products, then sell $300 worth of goods and think they had a great day. But did they? After materials, overhead, booth fees, and their own time... many were barely breaking even.
MakerMargin fixes that. You enter your materials once, build your product recipes with Bill of Materials, log your sales at each event, and instantly see your real profit โ down to the penny. It even tracks overhead allocation, generates event P&L reports, and exports Schedule C data for tax time.
We're still early and actively building based on user feedback. A few things I'd love your thoughts on:
What features would make this a must-have for you or a maker you know?
Any integrations you'd want to see?
There's a generous free tier so you can try everything out. No cards required.
Would love to hear what you think! ๐งก
