I'm stoked on this idea! I think it really solves the quality problem of two sided marketplaces. Instead of going to some freelance site where someone will make your site for $1 an hour from a third world country, you can really ensure that your product is being made by real, talented people who understand startups. Can't wait to see where this goes!
Pretty awesome idea! This will definitely be the catalyst to allow some nifty products to see the light of day. Wondering the reason behind the upvote system on the platform, though? If the idea is simply to find ideas worth joining or products looking for people to join, where does the upvoting come into play? Is it necessary?
I assume the thought process what so that it would act as a validation of idea? Wondering if that will always be possible on there though (i.e. Can a number of us truly validate an app for the elderly and put a value on the importance of its existence? Given we aren't close to the target group.)
Hey @oelmekki fantastic idea. I'm working on a non-profit, would there be a way to use Maker MVP to help work on a non-profit. What I'm really looking for is a dev community where I could solicit donations of time to help create an MVP for this product.
@oelmekki Thanks! The issue with submitting it through that form is that we actually don't have a budget of $5k. I was curious if there may, in the future, be a way non-profits could submit their idea and if devs were interested they could donate some of their time. Great product!
@fredrivett Yea agreed, I've got so much from the MakerHunt community. I'm looking forward to seeing some awesome discussions and products come out of MakerMVP! :-)
