Hey Hunters šŸ‘‹šŸ», I've been working with a client of mine since 2016. Their system relies heavily on email. They send booking confirmations and receipts to their customers and partners. We decided to use Mailgun as our email provider. Everything was working fine until one day. In April I got a call from the CEO. She told me that one of their partners hadn't received a single email in the last 3 months 🤯 I checked the logs and found that the emails had been sent successfully. But the partner's mail server was rejecting the emails. Neither my client nor I checked the Mailgun logs or the summary emails in detail. But to be honest, those dashboards and summary emails suck! They are not that clear or force you to take action 😤 So I created Mailfox: šŸš€ Easy 1-minute no-code setup šŸš€ Instant notification in case of failure šŸš€ Clear instructions on how to fix the problem šŸš€ Support for Mailgun, Sendgrid, Resend, Postmark, Mailersend and Brevo Happy to answer any question! – Christofer 🦊

@crebuh Congrats on the launch

@kjosephabraham Thx šŸ™šŸ» One of our clients uses Mailgun for transactional emails such as booking confirmations and receipts. These emails are critical to their business. Sometimes these emails can bounce or be marked as spam for various reasons. This is where the idea for Mailfox came from, to be notified immediately when this happens. Have a look at my first comment to get more information 😊.

Hey, congratulations on the launch! Is it possible to integrate it with messaging clients (e.g., Slack) instead of a webhook? Also, does it provide recommendations on how to avoid alerts once they occurred? Great work.
Christofer Huber
@semanser Slack and other instant notifications will be the next feature to be implemented. Currently Mailfox only supports email notifications when something goes wrong.

Upvoted ! Interesting idea ! You could add Sweego.io too ;) We specialize in transactional emails ;)
Christofer Huber
@pydubreucq nice, put you on the product backlog :)

@crebuh Nice, let me know when you did it, we'll share this information on our network :)
Chandula Perera
This is an issue we have run into in the past, great solution! Congrats!
Christofer Huber
@chandula What is the most common problem you face? For us, mistyped email addresses are a big pain point. It leads to bounces, which are often detected days later. We could add email validation at the application layer, but this is not so easy with some of the legacy systems our clients use, and it is always a budget issue for them as well.

Hey Christofer, this is such a practical tool! Does Mailfox support any kind of customization for the instant notifications? For instance, could it integrate with Slack or other messaging platforms for alerts?
Christofer Huber
@kyrylosilin Thanks for the great question. At the moment it only supports email notifications to the email you registered with. But adding Slack notifications would be the next notification channel to add. What other messaging platforms would you suggest?
Patryk Pijanowski
Hmmm, but doesn't Google do the same thing? After all, there's always a return email that the message didn't arrive.
Christofer Huber
@patpijanowski Yes, for emails from your inbox. Services like Mailgun, Mailjet or Brevo are used for transactional emails, for example from your web or mobile app. They offer APIs to send large volumes of email for you. If their mails bounce, you won't get an email from Google :)
Jayesh Gohel
Hey @crebuh Does Mailfox only work with Mailgun, SendGrid, and Resend, or can it track failed emails from other providers too? In 1 minute setup, is that for all integrations, or just one?
Christofer Huber
@jpgohil93 At the moment Mailgun, Sendgrid, Resend, Mailersend, Postmark and Brevo are supported. Let me know if you have another provider we should add.
