Gold has always been the default in India. Heavy. Occasion based. Inherited. But Gen Z isn’t dressing for weddings every weekend. They’re dressing for work cafes in Bandra. College in Delhi. Startups in Bangalore. Late night drives. Everyday life. MAELA is our contribution to that shift. Would love your thoughts on how fashion brands can build movements, not just catalogs.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m the founder of MAELA.
Growing up in India, jewellery almost always meant gold — heavy, occasion-based, and traditional. But over the last few years, I noticed something changing. Younger Indians, especially Gen Z, were choosing silver. Not as a substitute, but as a statement.
Lighter. Everyday. Personal.
MAELA started as an experiment to design sterling silver pieces that feel modern and wearable without being loud or overdesigned.
This launch is part of what we call the Indian Gen Z Silver Revival : a shift toward intentional, minimal jewellery.
