MacEdge turns the unused edges of your Mac trackpad into controls. Slide the right edge for volume, the left for brightness, drag the bottom to scrub any video, and tap the top corners to open apps, links, key combos or Shortcuts. The middle of the trackpad works exactly as before, palms and scrolling never trigger it, and every step has a haptic tick. Native Swift, Apple silicon, macOS 14+. Touches never leave your Mac. $3 once, no subscription.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Aaditya, and I built MacEdge.
My hand is on the trackpad all day, but I kept leaving it to hit the volume keys, open Control Centre for brightness, or drag tiny video timelines. Meanwhile the edges of the trackpad did nothing. So I made them useful.
What MacEdge does:
- Right edge: slide for volume, with the real macOS indicator
- Left edge: slide for brightness
- Bottom edge: drag to scrub any video (YouTube, Safari, Chrome, Music, QuickTime)
- Top corners: tap 1-4 times to open an app, a link, press a key combo or run a Shortcut
The middle of your trackpad works exactly as before. A gesture only starts when you click inside an edge, so palms, typing and scrolling never trigger it. Every step gives a haptic tick, and your pointer stays exactly where you left it.
It's a native Swift menu bar app for Apple silicon Macs on macOS 14+. Touches are processed on your Mac and never leave it. $3 once, no subscription, free updates forever.
I'd love your feedback: what would you put on your trackpad corners?
