Hi everyone, Lunafic started from my hobby of roleplaying with AI (raw LLMs), which I have done for years. I always imagined myself entering the world of fiction, but I found many problems while doing it. The first prototype of Lunafic was bad and generic. Then we took a detour to create a professional writing tool for novelists and screenwriters that, in the end, no one used. I decided to return to the initial idea, using the same engine and what I learned. Now, Lunafic is a platform for AI roleplay characters you build stories with over long, continuous memories. It is an opinionated AI roleplay experience featuring long-term memory, chapter progression with a beautiful editor instead of endless generic chats, and a solution to the long-standing problem of multi-character consistency. I'm Badal, Co-Founder of Lunafic.ai. Right now I'm overjoyed that I have the chance to write this today. My partner has described the product well, and now I would like to add more in-depth to our personal journey into building Lunafic.

While Lunafic was built on top of current AI technologies and ecosystems, our team has been forged and challenged many times since 2017 when we just graduate from high school. That was a solid Nine-year Journey! We had launched many products and services before. Some were cancelled or pivoted midway, some had a solid two-year run and we got priceless experience to learn from them. Somehow we still stay here and proudly launch Lunafic.

If I can describe what made us persistent over the years, it's the curiosity about what it feels like to reach global scale with product that is truly a value creation for others.

In my view, what makes Lunafic stand out is the sheer creative freedom it gives us. We can enjoy our hobby as role-players, and also create story of our own. Lunafic isn't locking us into rigid dialogue trees; we can steer the plot in any direction, play with any characters, control our own scenarios and plots or simply sit back and enjoy the story unfold naturally.

I'm delighted to forge what Lunafic is going to become in the future, but I'm more thrilled to see our team's journey.
