Lumo is a Mac menu bar app that reminds you to rest your eyes. But not only. It also reminds you to BREATHE — so you avoid email apnea (yes, you hold your breath while staring at screens). And it does it smartly, with productivity in mind. No flashing popup every 10 min that you start ignoring. Just gentle, well-timed nudges. Free to start, with a pro plan for customization.
I built Lumo because I spend my entire day in front of a computer and I never look away.
There are a few options out there. But to me, they either didn't have the breathing/email apnea reminder, or had so much packed in that they became distracting and unproductive.
I also wanted analytics that tell me how I'm doing and motivate me to keep going.
So here's my take on eye breaks.
Feature ideas are more than welcome 🙏
