Luminar Mobile

Hello, ProductHunt community! I'm the Brand Manager at Skylum, and we're a team of passionate photographers, makers, and product aficionados. I can't tell you how extremely excited I am today to introduce our brand-new mobile editing app, Luminar for iPad, to this platform. Skylum team, based in Ukraine, has worked relentlessly this past year despite the challenges to bring this beautiful product to life, and we hope you'll love it as much as we do! Hi all! My name is Oleksandr, I'm the Engineering Manager at Skylum and I'm extremely proud of what we achieved with Luminar for iPad. 🥰 We've been wanting to create a product for the iPad device for some time now, allowing our customers to get great visual results in a few clicks by editing their photos on the go without having to wait till they get home from their travels and get access to the desktop device. 🖥 But at the same time, the idea was to not lose the magic of the photo editing process itself, because if that was the goal, we could've just created an app with one single button: "Make my photos beautiful". Right? But we wanted to preserve this magic of this process, only making it different from other photo editors on the market, where you just shuffle the same sliders around and watch how your images change. We wanted to bring "wow" effect. Each of our tools has its own metaphor of a sort, almost like a game. When we were in the middle of the development process, my son who's 4 years old liked to take an iPad and play with it, spinning two features the most: Enhance AI, because in addition to quickly changing the image, we see how the scale is filled as if we were adding "volume" to a speaker, and thereby saturate our photo. Films - they look like realistic cassettes 135 film that you just want to study in detail at and when you hand-pick one, you hear this pleasant shutter noise of a vintage camera. This product in my opinion combines the best of Skylum technology, years of editing expertise with an exceptionally good design. I'm product to have been behind the wheel.
