Like many people, I’ve occasionally bought lottery tickets—not because I expected to become rich, but because there was something exciting about the anticipation, the draw, and the possibility of unlocking a rare outcome. While looking at lottery systems from different countries, I realized something interesting: lotteries already have something that feels a lot like a collectible game. Different prize tiers, different odds, different levels of rarity. Yet every lottery app I found was focused on checking results, buying tickets, or chasing jackpots. I started wondering: what if the goal wasn’t winning money at all? That idea became LottoDex. Instead of cash prizes, LottoDex turns lottery prize tiers into collectibles. You can explore lotteries from around the world, unlock rare tiers, earn prestige, and gradually complete your collection. The excitement comes from discovery and progression rather than financial risk. Building LottoDex was also an interesting design challenge. I spent a lot of time balancing rarity, collection progress, and long-term goals so that unlocking a new tier feels meaningful. Over time, the project evolved from a simple lottery simulator into a collection game inspired by lottery systems. LottoDex has no real-money gambling, no ticket sales, and no cash prizes.
