Diamonds are forever. Most NFTs are not. There's a hidden secret that make some of them likely to change their appearance, add ads or just stop existing at any moment, without prior notice and certainly without your permission, no matter how much you paid.

Moxie Marlinspike (of Signal) was writing about this earlier in the year. It's worth a read for the amusing demonstration of minting his own mutable NFT and marketing it. There were consequences. https://moxie.org/2022/01/07/web...
@alexstyl Thanks Alex! I'd love to turn this into something that could really help people inform their purchase decisions and navigate safely the NFT space. As for concrete actions, I'm more than open to feedback! I'll build whatever the community needs most.
@levelsio Thanks Pieter! Something interesting I learned is building web3 apps is not very different than building web2 apps. Granted, you need to be familiar with the concepts and the new technologies – but at the end of the day it's all just API calls. One can definitely go in much more depth than that, but the current state of the scene is good enough that you have APIs wrapping most of the functionality you'll ever need (interacting with nodes, indexing data, etc). I was expecting a much more steep learning curve, but I've found most stuff fairly easy to pick up

What an awesome idea. People should know this before buying them!
