Location Risks is a global risk platform that maps over 300 risk factors onto an interactive map. From environmental contamination to financial freedom, it helps you visualize combined risks across all countries. The platform offers historical data with AI-powered risk estimates. Users can customize policy metrics to match their personal priorities, such as firearm rights or crypto friendliness, making it a risk tool that adapts to your worldview, not just geography.

Hey everyone! I'm David. I built Location Risks because I was house hunting and went down a rabbit hole researching mosquito density, radon levels, freshwater proximity, crypto friendliness… all the weird stuff no one puts on a single map. So I made one.
You pick the risks you care about and see them color coded on an interactive map across 230+ countries. The part I'm most proud of is the "policy risk preference" toggle for policy risks like gun regulation. YOU decide what counts as risky. Want more regulation? Less regulated areas show as red/purple. Want less regulation? More regulated areas show as red/purple. Same data, your worldview.
The hardest part was finding data for niche risks. So I added an AI feature that generates estimates with a confidence level where data is missing. Every estimate improves the dataset for everyone.
I'd love your feedback. Is anything confusing when you first land on the map? Are there risks you'd want to see that aren't there yet?
